I am passionate about AI and Digital Transformation and lead a career spanning over 25 years and three continents.
I currently serve as Director of Innovation for the Port of Rotterdam, the largest port in Europe. I lead exciting projects around autonomous vehicles at the port, and manage all aspects of its private-5G infrastructure rollout with a budget approaching €500 million.
I am also a board member at SAE Industry Technologies Consortia, where I am responsible for autonomous vehicles, the maritime sector, and SAE’s European market development.
I hold a PhD in Information Systems Economics from the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York; an MBA from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor as well as a BA in Economics and Management. I taught courses on business, statistics and AI at Erasmus University Rotterdam.
